HandMeasured, formerly GloveIQ, is a patent-pending iPhone hand-measurement system from Black Hills, Inc. A guided scan produces hand measurements that can be checked against a glove company's own sizing rules. We're starting with brand sizing.

We are building for glove brands, sizing and e-commerce teams, product developers, and manufacturers that want a more consistent way to connect hand measurements with their own products.

No. There is a working iPhone prototype, but it is not a public App Store download. We're showing it privately to potential partners while testing continues.

There is no standard price yet. We're discussing small partner tests and possible business models based on the brand, product category, and integration needed.

No. Sizing comes first because it can be tested against an existing chart and clear rules. Next comes product-specific fit. The longer-term goal is to create bespoke glove specifications and individualized pattern inputs from the same hand data.

Not today. Early pattern and manufacturing-output software exists, but bespoke production still requires more measurement testing, expert pattern development, factory integration, and physical glove trials. It is the destination, not a finished product.

Sizing, fit, and bespoke gloves require different levels of proof. Sizing can be tested first against existing charts. Fit adds product-specific data. Bespoke adds pattern development, factory integration, and physical glove testing.

No ruler, reference card, coin, or kiosk is needed. The current prototype uses the iPhone's front camera and asks the user to hold one hand still with the palm facing the phone.

The system combines anatomical landmarks, TrueDepth depth samples, and camera geometry to calculate several hand dimensions. For each brand, it uses only the dimensions required by that brand's sizing method. Palm breadth, circumference, and finger measurements are still being tested.

It can return the best-supported size, flag a close call between two sizes, report that the hand falls outside the chart, or ask for another scan. The result follows the partner's chart and rules—not a universal HandMeasured chart.

Glove companies define measurements, size cutoffs, and intended fit differently. HandMeasured keeps the hand measurements separate from the product rules, so each brand can use its own chart instead of being forced into a universal one.

That is the goal, but it is not an off-the-shelf product yet. We start with a private prototype review and a limited test using one measuring method, one size chart, and an agreed way to judge the results.

No. For an evaluation, we use the selected brand's own published measurement method and size chart.

We'll show the working prototype, learn how your brand measures and sizes customers, and identify one useful test. We'll also be clear about what still needs more development.

Testing is still underway, so we do not make a broad accuracy or fit claim. We are comparing calculated dimensions and sizing results with physical measurements and repeat scans.

A patent application has been filed, and HandMeasured is patent pending.

The current prototype is for iPhone. We are focused on proving that experience before making plans or promises for other devices.
